Women's Day Hike to Devil's Hole & Nellie's Glen May 25th

Travel & Outdoor

Details

Explore a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains: a lesser-known day hike promising a beautiful canyon & diverse landscapes.

As you embark on this trail, it feels like stepping into a lost world. The surroundings transform into a wild expanse where the path winds through fallen boulders, dense ferns, and towering cliff walls. A boulder wedged between the canyon walls adds to this atmospheric setting.

Meeting with your WWA guide, you'll begin the walk anticlockwise, descending through Nellie s Glen. While the descent involves navigating plenty of stairs, the experience is thoroughly enjoyable. The trail then leads along a section of the Six Foot Track before ascending through the Devil s Hole a route that promises a steeper, and sometimes slippery path (yet incredible section!).

Throughout the hike, take in breathtaking views from the top of the valley at both ends of the walk. As you traverse through Nellie s Glen, soak in the serenity of the picturesque creek environment, adding to the charm of this trail.

Please note: Conditions along the trail can vary, from muddy and rocky terrain to sections that require scrambling and may be slippery.

Rest assured that we will take regular breaks, stop for plenty of photos, and support each other throughout the hike. The duration of the hike is between 5-6 hours. If you find that walking up steep stairs can be challenging, bringing walking poles for extra support is a great idea.
